FAQs
Do I need tiling qualifications to be a professional tiler?
No, If your thinking of trading around peoples homes there is no legislation to say that you need to be qualified to be a domestic tiler, all you need is the competence to do the job and that is what we will teach you, we give you quality certificates in wall and floor tiling anyway but they are not required. If you wish to go on a building site at a later date then you would require a CSCS card and an NVQ. We have lots of our students who go on from here to become successful tilers running their own business and becoming their own boss.
How much can I earn as a tiler?
Decent Tilers charge about £30 to £45 per metre for installation. Speaking for myself from current experience as I own and run one of the largest and most successful tiling firms in the North West. Fixers who can work at the required level to a very high standard usually earn around £1200 to £1500 per week. The elite can earn well in excess of 2k.
Where can I park my car?
The training centre is within a Business park. The park has a 24hr manned barrier security system with CCTV. The Tiling Academy Ltd has its own allocated parking area. Once inside the Business park and you can park right outside the training unit. Parking is free 24hrs.
